This past Christmas when many folks were commuting up and down the island from Quadra, several of us realized that with increased gas and ferry costs as well as alarming global warming that a rideshare might be a viable solution. So it was very timely that this exciting new website made such a column available for just such a purpose.

If you're travelling off Quadra and would take passengers to share costs, driving and good conversation OR are a traveller needing a ride, put an ad in this column. Some folks have even brought back building supplies, etc. from Vancouver for other folks.

I'm sure there are lots of ways we can mutually benefit each other and our environment at the same time. Give it a try!
