Colourful, embroidered, embellished, and occasionally "crazy", there is a fabulous collection of wall quilts on display during December in Herons at the Heriot Bay Inn. Showcasing works done by members of the Quadra Quilters Guild, there are 16 wall quilts on display. These wall quilts are a diverse collection, with pieces ranging from formal to three dimensional. This is a great venue to view these works of art: the intimate spaces allow the viewer to get close and appreciate the fine craftsmanship.
The Quadra Quilters Guild meets the second Tuesday of every month (September thru June) 10 am at the Quadra Community Centre; new quilters and would-be quilters are always welcome. For more information on the Quilters Guild, please contact Michele Sjoholm (250.285.3747).
