I have recently been introduced to a handy local website (www.harbourliving.ca) that lists events happening on Vancouver Island. You can sign up for a weekly email, and can customize the preferences to reflect your region of choice (e.g. North Vancouver Island).

The site also allows you to promote events for free... so, while you are busy getting with the times and adding your event to Quadra's own gumboot.ca calendar, you can also consider wider VI exposure on harbourliving.ca.
